When life gets tough...

You just gotta paint your nails.

True story,

Last night I was a complete a basket case. Nothing felt right and I felt like I could't make anything better. I was just bawling my eyes.
My sweet boo was trying everything he could to make things better. After a long talk and some smiles, I had finally stopped crying but I still did not feel better.
So I looked at him and I just said

"I need to paint my nails."
He looked at me like I was nuts but let it go and sat next to me while I meticulously picked a nail polish, filed and painted my nails.

And you know what?
I feel so much better.

Sometimes when the world feels so unmanageable, it's nice to feel like you have control over something.
Even if it's just your nail color

And that is my princess lesson for the day girls!

Happy Wednesday ladies!

Awww so sorry to hear you had such a rough day, Maura, but you'r right- painting your nails can be one of the best remedies out there! Pretty color choice, by the way! :)

Sorry you had a rough day... funny thing, "Just paint your nails" is pretty much my philosophy about life. Whenever I am having a rough day or in a funk, I bust out the nail polish. It is calming to me! Feel betta!

I do the same thing! Kinda like how Buddhists would walk in those maze gardens, and by the time they got out, the problem was gone or solved. It's therapeutic to me.

20-something, Virginia-bred, New York-educated Texan girl trying to have as much fun as I possibly can. I love sparkly things, a good cocktail, inspiring quotes and high heels. I'm a complete work in progress and I like it like that.
